Wellbeing in the workplace

Absenteeism, productivity, staff retention and satisfaction are all affected by employee’s stress levels and their overall sense of wellbeing.

The dynamic relationship between stress and unhealthy food choices means that employers investing in staff wellbeing should consider programmes that address both stress and staff eating habits.

Herbalife’s new research found that employees experiencing high levels of stress are also more likely to graze on unhealthy snacks throughout the working day. This reflects the trend amongst many businesses of finding ways to overcome such unhealthy office eating trends.

Through this site we hope to identify key wellbeing issues in the workplace, and help the CSR and HR communities to mainstream and coordinate new initiatives in workplace nutrition by sharing best practice and developing an Employer Pledge for Workplace Wellbeing.
